Several graduate student positions are available in Prof. Yang's lab at University of Central Florida (refer to http://www.nanoscience.ucf.edu/faculty/yang.php; https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=4tIWlKgAAAAJ&hl=en):
1. Advanced Materials Fabrication. The goal is to fabricate robust inorganic materials for renewable energy and electronic devices, for example porous materials, carbon materials (CNT, graphene and etc.), 2-D materials (WS2, MoS2 and etc.) and thin-films.
2. Renewable Energy Devices. Develop clean energy generation and renewable energy storage devices based on advanced materials.
3. Smart and Advanced Energy Devices. Develop flexible and high performance thin-film electrodes for flexible energy devices and micro-batteries/supercapacitors.
We are looking for creative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated candidates from diverse backgrounds and disciplines; including applied electrochemistry, materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry or related fields. Experiences and skills in energy storage, electrochemistry, nanomaterials and flexible electronics are encouraged. Highly motivated candidates should submit a curriculum vitae, names of three references, transcript, and a cover letter expressing their interest, brief description of research experience, and their qualifications for one of the specific positions described above.
Send information to Prof. Yang, NanoScience Technology Center, University of Central Florida, E-mail: Yang.Yang@ucf.edu
